Robert Aymer

Hi, I'm Robert the founder of EMspace.

I started this company in 2016, having worked in school in a therapeutic way for several years.

I felt very strongly that I wanted to work with schools in a way that helps them to support the children that they are endeavouring to teach.

My work involves helping children learn how to deal with what they feel - their emotions

In the same way that they develop numeracy and literacy skills with the help of dedicated teachers, I see my role as helping them to develop emotional literacy

In the sense that literate means (the) - ability to read or write, ultimately, having language and the ability to communicate and understand. Feelings are also language in the sense that they communicate something to us.

Children and young people need to be supported learn (and understand) that language. What it means and what their feeling is saying.

This is the area that brings the most satisfaction to me as I support them in becoming emotionally literate, able to manage their emotions and even able to help others too.

As we do this, we are equipping them in the best possible way to achieve their fullest potential and face whatever challenges they will experience in life.
